Tehran, Ashgabat sign 13 MoUs to broaden cooperation
Cooperation on cultural, artistic, scientific and educational exchanges plan, MoU on commercial, industrial cooperation, customs digitized exchanges of data, MoU on establishment of joint trade council between Iran and Turkmenistan were among documents signed in the presence of both presidents.
MoU on issuing certificate signed between Iran's National Standard Organization and Turkmenistan government –owned Standard Department, Execution Program on cooperation between the two aforementioned departments, cooperation on agricultural sector, and memorandum of understanding signed between Iran's Ministry of Youth and Sports and its Turkmen counterpart.
MoU on aerial transportation between Iranian Civil Aviation Organization and its Turkmen counterpart, MoU between Foreign Ministry Political and international Studies Office and Turkmenistan Foreign Ministry International Relations Institute, mutual cooperation document on scientific and educational issues between Mashad's Ferdowsi University and Turkmen Agriculture University of S.A. Niyazov, memorandum of understanding on scientific and educational cooperation between Ferdowsi University and Turkmen National Institute on Foreign Languages were among other MoUs signed by senior officials of Iran and Turkmenistan.
Meanwhile, a joint statement was published in both capitals simultaneously on Tuesday.
President Hassan Rouhani at the head of a high-ranking delegation arrived in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, on Tuesday morning.
He is to visit Baku, Azerbaijan Republic, as well.
